REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />DATE: 9113104 <br />ITEM NO: 5.b <br />DepartmentApproval: Manager Reviewed: Agenda Section: <br />-�� f��+..,�niti�r�$ <br />Item Description: Recognition of Boy Scout Michael St. Dennis for the service project <br />completed at Valley Park <br />BACKGROUND <br />During May, 2004 Michael organized a group of volunteers to woodchip a walking trail <br />around the pond at Valley Park in Roseville This significant project involved 33 people <br />and over 250 hours of service time. <br />POLICY OBJECTIVE <br />The City of Roseville encourages citizensto participate in improvementsto the park system <br />thereby expanding the resources available for providing quality facilities for all to use. <br />FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS <br />None. <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommendsthe recognition Scout Michael St. Dennis for his service to the Roseville <br />Parks and Recreation Department. <br />COUNCILACTION REQUESTED <br />Motion recognizing Boy Scout Michael St. Dennis and his group of volunteers for their <br />service project at Valley Park. <br />
