Resolution <br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />�����******����** <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City <br />of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the l lth day of October, <br />2004, at 6:00 p.m. <br />The following members were present: , and the following were absent: . <br />Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION No. <br />RESOLUTION TO PARTICIPATE IN A HAZARD MITIGATION PLANNING <br />PROCESS <br />WHEREAS, the County of Ramsey Division of Emergency Management and Homeland <br />Security is participating in the all-hazard mitigation planning process as established under <br />the Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000, Pub. L. No. 106-390; and <br />WHEREAS, the Act requires all counties and municipalities to develop and maintain all- <br />hazard mitigation plans either independently or on a county-wide, multi jurisdictional <br />basis; and <br />WHEREAS, such plans must be well integrated and coordinated to account for the fact <br />that hazards in one jurisdiction impact on other nearby jurisdictions; and <br />WHEREAS, the Act establishes a framework for the development of an all-hazard <br />mitigation plan; and <br />WHEREAS, the Act as part of the planning process requires public involvement and <br />local coordination among neighboring local units of government and businesses; and <br />WHEREAS, the plan must include a mitigation strategy including goals and objectives <br />and an action plan identifying specific mitigation projects and costs; and <br />WHEREAS, the plan must include an implementation and maintenance process <br />including plan updates, integration of the plan into other planning documents and how the <br />County will maintain public participation and coordination; and <br />
