By Census Block or Insight Block, we identified head of household age groups, <br />number of residents per unit, age 5 to 18 children and age 0 to 4 children per unit. <br />• By Census Block or Insight Block, we created a demographics template usable for <br />each structure or project which illustrates: <br />1. median household income <br />2. working residents and occupation types <br />3. median educational attainment <br />4. children by age per household or per Block <br />5. data necessary and methods of marketing directly to segments of rental <br />population <br />6. other pertinent and available information the data base <br />This report provides a summary of the data in a narrative and graphic form and is a <br />compilation of the key points generated from the data collected. In addition, conclusions <br />based upon the current and future housing type, condition and population characteristics <br />have been provided to help identify policies and action steps to improve the condition of <br />the housing as well as assist the residents to shape and restore neighborhoods throughout <br />the community. <br />The data was first compiled by housing complex and then aligned within each of the <br />city's 15 planning districts. This provides an easy comparison to the existing <br />demographic and land use change data for each planning district. <br />This report provides enough information to help the city policy leaders create immediate <br />and longer term housing policies and possible action steps for housing program <br />implementation over several years, but limited by budget resources.
