The 2004 Leaf Pickup Program is scheduled for October 27 through November 18. The 2004 Program will be similar to previous years' programs in that it is provided on a fee-for-service basis. Registration postcards will be mailed to all residents in mid September and will need to be returned to the City by Friday, October 22. We have increased the fee by $10 pursuant to your December 2003 Council action. (See attached Council Minutes providing staff direction about this Program). If you choose to participate, you will be invoiced for the $20 charge in December, 2004. The City will be divided into 4 areas as it was in the 2003 Program. Each area will be picked up only on the scheduled dates. This is a slight change from 2003 where each area was picked up throughout the entire program schedule. We found that too many registrants waited until the last few days to place their leaves curbside and crews were not able to fin- ish within the schedule. No return trips will be made after a scheduled area has been completed. The 2004 schedule is as follows: NW Area .. .Wed, Thu, Fri, Mon Oct 27, 28, 29, & Nov 1 SW Area...Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Nov 2, 3, 4, & 5 NE Area.. . Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri, Nov $, 9,10, & 12 SE Area.. .Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Nov,15,16,17, & 18 Roseville residents have many options for disposing of leaves. For those that don't choose to use the collection program, they can haul their leaves directly to the city's compost site on Dale Street or to one of the Ramsey County sites in Arden Hills, Shoreview, or St. Paul. Residents can also have their trash hauler or a private lawn service pick up their leaves. Finally for those that have mulching style mowers the leaves can be composted back into their own yards.
