City Council Regular Meeting —10/25/04 <br />DRAFT Minutes - Page 5 <br />feasible, City Manager Beets should so advise the <br />City Council. <br />City Manager Beets clarified that his original <br />proposal in his 2005 Budget recommendation memo <br />was to eliminate two positions, but that his <br />interpretation of Council directive was to create a <br />combined position, with �/z allotted to the Parks and <br />Recreation Department, and �/z allotted tot he Public <br />Works Department, with the net reduction of one <br />full-time equivalent (FTE) employee. <br />Councilmember Ihlan clarified that she was reluctant <br />to eliminate a maintenance position as well; and <br />questioned whether there was an actual consensus <br />related to this item.
