City Council Regular Meeting —11/08/04
DRAFT Minutes - Page 32
Ayes: Schroeder, Kough, Maschka and Klausing.
Nays: Ihlan.
Councilmember Ihlan noted that she would be voting
against the motion due to its restrictive nature, opining
more flexibility was needed.
Roll Call (Original Motion as Amended)
Ayes: Schroeder, Kough, Maschka and Klausing.
Nays: Ihlan.
Public Notice
Further discussion ensued regarding how to proceed with
the public notice of the public hearing, if the Council so
desired to provide that notice.
City Manager Beets addressed the notice process as it
related to the next available edition of the City's official
newspaper, the Roseville Review, noting that the next
available issue would be November 16; in order to
accommodate the November 22, 2004 hearing date.
City Attorney Anderson noted that land-use hearing
requirements did not apply to this EAW petition hearing.
After further clarification from City Attorney Anderson,
Ihlan moved, Kough seconded, directing staff to provide
public notice in the Roseville Review for the November 16
edition, and in any other available media sources or via
press releases, calling for any written comment regarding
the EAW, a copy of which is on file at City Hall; with all
written comment to be received by 4:00 p.m. on Friday,
November 19, 2004.
All written comment was to be directed to a specific
person, at a specific address to avoid confusion.
Roll Call
Ayes: Schroeder, Kough, Maschka, Ihlan and Klausing.
Nays: None.
