Department Approval <br />Item Description <br />�k���ur��1- <br />� � <br />Request for Council Action <br />Manager Ap <br />Amended Contract with the <br />val <br />�� <br />r <br />Date: 12-06-04 <br />Item Number: 3.g <br />Agenda Section <br />illa Youth Basketball Association <br />On November 8,2004, Council approved the Roseville Youth Basketball Association's (Association) request to <br />contract with the Fire Department for occasional tournament play. <br />Now the Association has asked the Fire Department to provide stand-by EMT services for weekly seasonal <br />games, in addition to occasional tournament play. This requires amendments to the approved contract. <br />Policv Implications: The City of Roseville tries to assist community youth groups whenever feasible. <br />FinanciaL• This contract will require no additional funding for the fire department. The cost incurred to <br />provide this service will be recovered through a fee for service contract. The Roseville Fire Department <br />possesses the equipment, training and personnel to provide this service. Firefighter-EMTs will be allowed to <br />voluntarily sign-up for this assignment. <br />The contract will compensate the City for these services. Thus, there will be no cost to the City of Roseville or <br />the Roseville taxpayers for this service. <br />Council Action Reauested: Motion to approve the Amended Contract between the City of Roseville and the <br />Roseville Youth Basketball Association for the fire department to provide stand-by medical services for weekly <br />youth basketball games in addition to occasional tournamentplay. <br />
