REQUEST FOR COUNCII, ACTION <br />DATE: 1/24/00 <br />ITEM NO.: F— 2 <br />Department ApprovaL Manager Reviewed: Agenda Section: <br />� f Reports <br />Item Description: Receiving feasibility reports/scheduling public improvement hearings <br />2000 Pavement Management Program (PNIP) <br />Background: On September 13, 1999, the City Council selected neighborhoods for the 2000 <br />PNIl' and ordered the preparation of feasibility reports for these neighborhoods. The <br />neighborhoods selected are as follows: <br />P-00-02 Neighborhood 32 Chatsworth Street, Lovel l Avenue to Grandview Avenue <br />Lovell Avenue, Cul-de-sac to Chatsworth Street <br />Neighborhood 34 St. Albans Street, County Road B2 to Dale Street <br />Neighborhood 35 Grandview Avenue, Victoria Street to St. Albans Street <br />Cope Avenue, Cul-de-sac to Grotto Street <br />Grotto Street, Cope Avenue to Lovell Avenue <br />Grotto Street, Grandview Avenue to County Road B2 <br />St. Albans Street, Lovell Avenue to County Road B2 <br />Neighborhood 3 6 Brooks Avenue, Cohansey Street to Western Avenue <br />Irene Street, County Road B2 to Se�tant Avenue <br />Irene Court, Irene Street to Cul-de-sac <br />Se�tant Avenue, Cohansey Street to Irene Street <br />Informational meetings have been held with each neighborhood. At these meetings, staff <br />reviewed the overall PNIl', the City's assessment policy, and an overview of typical street <br />reconstruction. Residents provided input to staff regarding specific neighborhood concerns. <br />In accordance with City Council direction, a feasibility report has been prepared that details +,h� <br />proposed design, neighborhood impact, and estimated cost of the proposed 2000 PNIP. Copies of <br />the completed feasibility reports are enclosed. The ne�t step in the process is for the council to <br />accept the feasibility report and to schedule public hearings. <br />Policy objectives: The various recommended street improvement projects are being considered as <br />part of the City's 2000 PNIP. The projects are consistent with the policies originally established for <br />the PMP. <br />
