The Council requested
both Commission's to study their respective parts of a scenario where the 8 acres of land
located at Lengton and County Road "B" would be used in some mix of six (6) acres
neighborhood park (Park Commission) and two (2) acres of "park complimentary" uses
(Planning Commission). On November 17,1998 the
Planning Commission and the Park and Recreation Commission jointly met to discuss the
issue, gather some input from the neighborhood, and decide on a course of study and
reporting. The Commission reviewed the background and provided a recommendation at
their 7anuary 13, 1999 meeting.
2.2 The goal of the study was to forward findings and recommendations of the Park & Recreation
Commission and Planning Commission to the Council for a final decision on land use
alternatives.
2.3 On March 22, 1999 the Roseville City Council directed staff to prepare and distribute a
design and financial feasibility study RFP for developers to determine market, design, and
acceptability of the complimentary uses on the two (2) acres at the Lex and B site.
