H. Keller, a Roseville property owner residing within 350 feet of the
proposed addition to Har Mar Mall. We write in advance of the March 27, 2000 Roseville City
Council meeting, at which time the Council will take up the Roseville Planning Commission's
recommendation to deny Bradley's request for a variance. Please provide this letter to the Council
in the information packet sent out prior to the March 27 meeting. We also assume the letter to Mr.
Thomas Paschke dated March 2, 2000, with attachments, is part of the record in this case and will
be made available to the Council.
We write to respectfully request that the Roseville City Council accept the recommendation of the
Planning Commission and deny Bradley's request for a variance. The members of the Planning
Commission carefully weighed the information provided by Bradley as well as the information and
arguments provided by those residents of Roseville who are opposed to the request for a variance.
The Planning Commission addressed the request for a variance within the context of the discussion
of lot coverage and Bradley's claimed undue hardship. The Planning Commission weighed and set
forth the facts and arguments to support their decision to deny the request for variance. We
commend the Planning Commission's careful deliberations.
We believe the Planning Commission recommendation and the hoped for acceptance of the
recommendation by the City Council will withstand any court challenge by Bradley.
