GIS Support Services Agreement <br />Between the City of Roseville <br />and the <br />North Metro I-35W Corridor Coalition <br />THIS AGREEMENT is made and entered into by the City of Roseville (Roseville), a public <br />corporation and political subdivision of the State of Minnesota, and the North Metro I-35W <br />Corridor Coalition (Coalition), a coalition of governmental units exercising powers pursuant <br />to a joint exercise of powers agreement under Minnesota Statutes section 471.59. <br />WHEREAS, the Coalition has designed, developed and maintains a geographic information <br />system (GIS) for the seven member Coalition and intends to establish through cooperative <br />efforts critical updates and enhancements to the system, and <br />WHEREAS, the Coalition will promote effective, responsive and efficient GIS capabilities <br />within the seven member Coalition that will help reduce the overall cost to the public and <br />improve GIS services, products and data access through cooperative sharing of GIS data and <br />resources; and <br />WHEREAS the Coalition, comprised of the cities of Arden Hills, Blaine, Circle Pines, <br />Mounds View, New Brighton, Roseville and Shoreview, desires to enter into a GIS Support <br />Services Agreement with the City of Roseville to utilize Roseville's GIS staff expertise from <br />time to time; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Roseville recognizes that certain of its staff have advanced GIS <br />management and technical skills that can be benefit the Coalition in it effort to further develop <br />and enhance its GIS capabilities. <br />NOW THEREFORE, Roseville and the Coalition agree to the following support service <br />relationship contemplated by this GIS Support Services Agreement. <br />ARTICLE I. <br />TERMS AND CONDITIONS <br />Definitions. For the purposes of this agreement, the terms used herein shall have the <br />following meaning unless otherwise indicated in this agreement: <br />Roseville means the City of Roseville, a public corporation and political subdivision of the <br />State of Minnesota. <br />Geo�raphic Information System (GIS) means a computer-based technology that consists of <br />computer hardware, software, data and trained personnel designed to efficiently capture, store, <br />update, analyze and display all forms of geographically references electronic information. <br />
