M��eviewed: <br />� <br />Application for 2000 Contractor's License <br />1,1 The City requires that all work in the City be done by licensed contractors. <br />DATE: 04-24-00 <br />ITEM NO.: �-8 <br />Agenda Section: <br />Consent <br />1.2 Licensing is required for all residential building and remodeling contractors who provide only one <br />service, with exception of residential roofing and manufactured home installer contractors who <br />must be licensed by the MN Dept. of Commerce. Commercial building and remodeling <br />contractors are also licensed by the City. <br />1.3 <br />1.4 <br />Licenses are renewed on an annual basis. The licenses cost $25.00 per contractor. <br />Attached is a list of contractors who have requested 2000 contractor's licenses. <br />2.0 Alternatives: <br />2.1 Approve the list of contractors as listed. <br />2.2 Deny licenses of any or all of the attached licenses. <br />3.0 PolicyObjectives: <br />3.1 <br />4.0 <br />4.1 <br />5.0 <br />51 <br />The licensing of contractors insures that contractors have proper state or local licenses, have the <br />proper insurance, and complete their work in a workman like manner in conformance with all <br />codes.
