EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />OF Ti� <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />*****�********** <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City <br />of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly hPld on the 22nd day of May, 2000, <br />at 6:30 p.m. <br />The following members were present: Mastel, Maschka, Wiski, Goedeke and <br />Kysylyczyn, and the following were absent: None. <br />Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION <br />Requesting Dissolution of the <br />Minnesota Police Recruitment System <br />WHEREAS, the City is a member of a joint powers organization known as the <br />Minnesota Police Recruitment System (MPRS) created by a joint powers <br />agreement (the "Agreement") pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, section <br />471.59; and <br />WHEREAS, the MPRS no longer serves the purpose for which it was formed, and the <br />MPRS Executive Committee has recommended to MPRS members that <br />tlie organization be dissolved; and <br />WHEREAS, Section XIV of the Agreement provides that the MPRS shall be dissolved <br />when its Secretary-Treasurer has received certified copies of resolutions <br />adopted by the governing bodies of two-thirds of its members requesting <br />such dissolution; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that dissolution of the MPRS is in the <br />best interests of the City; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council hereby requests <br />dissolution of the Minnesota Police Recruitment System (I1�iPRS) in <br />accordance with the Agre�ement and that the City Manager is authorized <br />and directed to transmit forthwith a certified copy of this resolution to the <br />MPRS Secretary-Treasurer in care of Daniel Donahue, City Manager, City <br />of New Hope, Minnesota. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member <br />, and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: , and the <br />following voted against the same: <br />WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
