REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />DATE: 6/12/00 <br />ITEM NO: c-5 <br />Approval: Manager Reviewed: Agenda Section: <br />Consent <br />Item Description: Request for One Day Gambling License for <br />Central Park Foundation <br />BACKGROUND <br />The Roseville Central Park Foundation is conducting their annual fundraising banquet at <br />the Roseville Skating Center. The event includes a raffle. The Central Park Foundation is <br />applying for an Exemption from Lawful Gambling Licensing Requirements to conduct lawful <br />gambling activities (raffle) on September 22, 2000 at the Roseville Skating Center at 2661 <br />Civic Center Drive, Roseville. <br />POLICY OBJECTIVE <br />City policy allows non-profit organizations to conduct such activities as long as they are <br />approved by the City and the State Gambling Control Board. <br />FINANCIAL IMPLICATION <br />None. <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff has reviewed this application and is recommending approval. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Motion approving the Central Park Foundation request to conduct lawful gambling activities <br />on September 22, 2000 at 2661 Civic Center Drive. <br />
