EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />OF CITY COUNCIL <br />OF CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, <br />Minnesota, was held in the City Hall in said City on Tuesday, June 27, 2000 at 6:30 0' clock p. m. <br />The following members were present: and the following were absent: <br />Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION <br />RESOLUTION SUPPORTING INCREASED NOISE <br />MITIGATION ALONG ROSEVILLE FREEWAYS <br />WHEREAS, in the City of Roseville, traffic volumes continue to increase on area freeways; <br />AND WHEREAS, the impacts of this traffic on adjacent residential properties adversely affects the <br />enjoyment and property values of such properties; <br />AND WHEREAS, the stability of Roseville residential neighborhoods is vital to community health; <br />AND WHEREAS, many of the homes adjacent to TH 36 predate the existence of the freeway; <br />AND WHEREAS, Mn/Dot, by policy, does not construct noise abatement projects in existing areas <br />unless as part of a larger project; <br />AND WHEREAS, no major projects are currently programmed for TH 36; <br />THEREFORE FiE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, that the <br />Council supports the installation and/or modification of noise abatement projects to more adequately <br />protect Roseville residential properties from the growing impacts of highway traffic. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member upon <br />a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: , and the following <br />voted against the same: _ <br />WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
