�� <br />�-�� <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT <br />2��� LaN� USE ENFORCEMENT STRATEGY <br />JANUARY ZOOO <br />'I.O OVERALLGOALS <br />Improve the visual/aesthetic impression of both residential neighborhoods and commercial <br />areas by enforcing the land use provisions of the zoning ordinance- specifically the nuisance <br />section-and, to respond to those citizen concerns and complaints that relate to land use. <br />Z.O BENEFITS <br />Some Roseville neighborhoods and commercial areas are struggling with scattered, individua.l <br />properties that are visual eyesores, which negatively impact the quality of life and property <br />values in an entire neighborhood or area. By using the zoning code land use and nuisance <br />provisions to require these violations be corrected, we hope the following benefits will be <br />attained: <br />. The entire neighborhood or area is visually enhanced. <br />. Residents/business owners can take more pride in their neighborhoods or areas. <br />. Other property owners are encouraged to maintain their properties. <br />. Property values are maintained. <br />. Instilling confidence that violations will not be allowed to continue encourages <br />reinvestment in neighborhoods and commercial areas. <br />3.O OBJECTIVES <br />3.� WHAT TO ADDRESS/ENFORCE <br />3.1.1 Residential Areas <br />. Outside storage of junk and debris. <br />. Vehicles <br />- unlicensed <br />- stored on grass <br />- junk/inoperable. <br />. Trailers <br />- stored in front yards <br />- commercial types. <br />. Commercial vehicles and equipment stored outside. <br />. Grass over 8" tall <br />.
