<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />City of Roseville <br />Ethics Commission Meeting Minutes <br />May 13, 2009 <br /> <br /> <br />Call to Order: <br />Chairperson LuAnne Pederson called the meeting to order at 6:33 p.m. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br />LuAnne Pederson, Melissa Weldon, Patrick Schm idt, Margo Fjelstad, David Horsager <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br />None <br /> <br />Others Present: <br />City Manager Bill Malinen, City Attorney Scott Anderson <br /> <br />Swearing In of David Horsager <br />Chairman Pederson administered the oath of office to David Horsager and Margo <br />Fjelstad <br /> <br />Approve Minutes of February 11, 2009 <br />Schmidt moved, Weldon seconded, approval of the minutes of the February 11, 2009 <br />meeting. Ayes all. <br /> <br />Topics for Joint Meeting with City Council <br />The Commission suggested the following topics for discussion with the City Council: <br /> <br />1) Mandatory Training – No t mandatory, but encouraged. <br />2) Ethics Opinions Report <br />3) Posting Formal Opinions on Line (web library) <br />4) E-mail Newsletter <br />5) Ethics Training for 2009 <br /> <br />Newsletter <br />Malinen noted that the Newsletter does not require Council approval. <br />Schmidt suggested Commissioners bring sugge sted topics for review quarterly. <br /> <br />Pederson moved, Schmidt seconded, creation of an ethics newsletter, and an ethics <br />newsletter sub-committee, with rotating members. All Aye. <br /> <br />Schmidt and Fjelstad volunteered for newsle tter discussion and review at the next <br />meeting.
