The City agrees to pay Contractor $1.55 per certified multi-unit <br />dwelling per month in 2006. City shall determine the number of units <br />that will receive service during a given month by the last Monday of <br />the previous month. <br />The City retains the right to switch to weekly curbside collection <br />under the timeframe delineated in Section IV. 1. Scheduled Collection <br />Day of this contract. Once weekly service begins the City agrees to <br />pay Contractor a weekly rate. The initial weekly rate will be the <br />current bi-weekly rate plus $0.30 per residential dwelling unit per <br />month. <br />The City agrees that prices for service will increase each year by two <br />percent or the Consumer Price Index for the Upper Midwest for the <br />previous calendar year as determined by the Federal Reserve Bank <br />of Minneapolis, whichever is less. In the event that the CPI is <br />neqative for the previous calendar year the price for service will <br />remain the same for that subsequent year. Each March the City will <br />notify the Contractor ",� '°c����; ^��°�� what the <br />compensation rate will be for that c� �"c°ry� �°�+ calendar year. <br />2. Method of Payment to Contractor: Contractor shall submit itemized <br />bills on a monthly basis. Bills submitted shall be paid in the same <br />manner as other claims made to the City. <br />3. Revenue Sharinq: Contractor shall, each quarter, pay the City fifty <br />percent of the net revenue from the sale of the recyclable material <br />that is collected and processed. <br />If Net Revenue is neqative, that amount represents processinq fees <br />owed to the contractor or shortfall. <br />3.01 Formula <br />The Contractor shall rebate an amount to the City based on the <br />followinq formula: <br />(a) Published industry end market "index" or verified market price <br />($ per ton based on specified commodity qrades) to provide the <br />"qross end market value" by commodity for each month as specified <br />in Section VI. 3.03; <br />(b) Less processinq fee ($ per ton) by commodity as specified in <br />Section VI. 3.04; <br />(c) Times commodity tonnaqe volumes (tons per month by <br />commodity); <br />10 <br />
