HRA Meeting
Minutes – Tuesday, January 20, 2009
Page 5
indicated in Roseville, with only one (1) other association seeking preliminary interest in a
similar situation, but only for gap financing, not the entire construction cost, as they had some
reserves, just not enough.
Mr. Trudgeon noted that, unless the efforts of several cities to extend the HIA legislation, the
HRA may not need to refine their system further, as it expired in June of 2009.
Member Pust encouraged HRA members to watch the City Council debate to be aware of
future criteria and policy issues and subsequent recommendations to the City Council.
c.2009 HRA Levy
Mr. Trudgeon advised that the City Council had adopted the HRA Levy at $258,000. Mr.
Trudgeon advised that staff was planning to bring forward a revised HRA budget at the
February meeting for further discussion, and to determine any cash left over from 2008.
d.Board and Staff Reports
Ms. Kelsey briefly reported on her attendance last week at a residential housing summit; and
noted the importance of having a presence at such meetings to keep abreast of things
happening in the marketplace. Ms. Kelsey noted that staff fields numerous questions from
citizens regarding financing and appraisal information, and that such networking allows staff
to provide guidance and ensure good public relations. Ms. Kelsey encouraged members to
forward pertinent information to staff as they became aware of it.
Chairman Majerus thanked the Board for allowing him to serve as Chair during his tenure; and
thanked members for their patience and support.
Incoming Chairman Maschka thanked Member Majerus for his leadership to-date in getting
the HRA to its current standing.
10.Adjournment to Local Development Corporation Annual Meeting
The meeting was adjourned at approximately 5:35 to the Local Development Corporation Annual
meeting.
Roseville Local Development Corporation Meeting
