<br />purchase of street and fire equipment. All of said certificates of <br />indebtedness will be dated January 2, 1953, and will be in the <br />denomination of $1,000.00 each and will bear intereat at the rate or <br />rates integral multiples of i of 1/10 of 1% designated by the successfUl <br />bidder, payable January 2, 1954 and semi-annually thereafter on July 1st <br />and January 2nd of each ye ar. <br /> <br />All of said certificates of indebtedness shall be without option <br />of prior payment, principal, and interest will be made payable at any <br />suitable bank or trust company designated by the succeccsful bidder. <br />Said certificates of indebtedness shall mature serially on January 2nd <br />in the years and am unts as follows: <br />$ 5,000.00 in the years 1954, 1955, and 1956, <br />10,000.00 in the year 1957 <br />13,000.00 in the year 1958 <br />The village will furnish printed certificates of indebtedness and the <br />unqualified appro~ legal opinion of Messrs. Briegs, Gilbert, Morton, <br />Kyle, and McCartney of' Saint Paul, Minnesota, both without cost to the <br />purchaser. <br /> <br />All bids must be in writing enclosed in a sealed envelope, be <br />unconditional except as to legality which may be conditioDedupon the <br />above described opinion. All bids must be for the entire issue. Bids <br />will be preferred according to the lowest net interest cost for the principal <br />sum of $38,000.00. <br /> <br />Sealed bids marked Bid for $38,00.00 Fire and Street Equipment <br />Certificate of Indebtedness," may be mailed or otherwise delivered to the <br />undersigned and must be received by him prior to the time of said meeting. <br />Bids must be accompanied by a cashier's or certified check or band draft <br />in the amount of $760.00, payable to the order of the Village, to be <br />forfeited as liquidated damages in case the 1 id is accepted and the <br />bidder shall fail to comply therewith. The certific'1tes of indebtedness <br />will be delive~ed without cost to the purchaser at Saint Paul, Minnesota, <br />or Minneapolis, l'1innesota, wIlthin forty-five days after date of sale.
