Two new
Twin Lakes redevelopment area intersections were included in this analysis, Twin Lakes
Parkway/Mount Ridge Road and Twin Lakes Parkway/Prior Avenue. These two intersections
are included in each of the three internal roadway configurations previously 9nentioned and
presented in Figure 5. Based on discussions with City staff, these intersections will be
roundabouts, with geometry necessary to operate acceptably. The extent of the analysis of these
two intersections includes a review of how they interact with adjacent intersections and what
impact the extenaal intersections ]lave on these internal roundabouts. Therefore, they are not
included in the level of service table below. This initial build condition analyzes internal
roadway configuration 1. In the event minor improvements will not allow this configuration to
operate acceptably, additional internal roadway configurations are reviewed.
Results of the analysis shown in Table 3 indicate that four out of seven key intersections will
continue to operate at an acceptable overall LQS D or better under year 2011 build conditions
during the a.rrt, and p.m. peak hours, with existing traffic controls, geometric layout and internal
roadway configuratian 1. Queues associated with the poor operations at the intersection of
County Road ClPrior Avenue will impact the internal inter°seeiion of Twin Lakes Parkway/Prior
Avenue.
