Executive Summary <br />The 2009-2013 Strategic flan for the Public Works Department is hereby submitted: The <br />Strategic Plan has been developed in accordance with the Department's overall mission <br />and long-term vision. Within this framework, the Department has established goals and <br />priorities that will guide the allocation of resources and operational decisions towards the <br />desired outcomes. We have aligned. our strategic plan with the communities Imagine <br />Roseville 2025 visioning document. <br />1Vlission Statement <br />?"o enhance out• community by effectively and efficiently developing, rehabilitating, <br />managing, and operating physical infrastructure and services that provide the <br />foundation for• a strong and safe community. <br />Vision Statements <br />Safety -protecting the health and well being of the public and our employees is our #1 <br />priority. <br />Responsiveness --- serve th.e public, the Mayor, the Council, the Manager and other <br />departments; and internal and external partners in an accurate, informative, and timely <br />manner. <br />Accountability -assume responsibility for our actions, decisions, and outcomes in a cost- <br />consciousmanner <br />Respect and Sensitivity -respect our customers' needs by providing quality public <br />service; convey to each employee; through words and actions, their value and the value of <br />the work they perform. <br />Integrity -consistently meet the highest levels of ethics, professionalism, and legal <br />compliance in serving our customers and working with each other. <br />Commitment - be dedicated to providing high quality, needed; and timely responses for <br />all services. <br />A "Can-Do' Attitude -approach each challenge or opportunity with optimism and <br />determination: <br />Respect for Diversity -recognize and value the opportunities provided by the differences <br />and similarities of individuals in our workforce and customer base. <br />
