installed 40 to 50 years ago and will need full replacement or rehabilitation in the <br />next two to three decades. <br />Roseville has achieved a high pavement rating on our roads, trails and parking lots <br />through awell-managed and effective pavement management program. Our goal is <br />to continue to keep desirable ratings by continuing to manage maintenance and <br />rehabilitation programs by identifying funding needs and ensuring adequate <br />resources are secured and in place. <br />Respect our Environment <br />The community has placed a. high value on our environment as stated in Imagine <br />Roseville 2025. Public Works staff recognizes this commitment and has identified <br />resources needed to meet community goals and regulation placed upon u.s by other <br />agencies. Public Works is committed to sustainable practices in project delivery <br />and design and to reduce our impact on the environment. <br />Actin Plan <br />Strategic Priorities <br />Support high levels of customer service <br />• Restructure the department management team to include a superintendent in the <br />operations area.. This can be achieved by elevating one of the supervisor positions to <br />superintendent and elevating a maintenance position to working foreman in the <br />affected division. <br />• Understand changes in technology competency to provide information to the public. <br />• Utilize technology to support service delivery <br />• Add one position to the Street/Storm utility division. to meet the increasing demands <br />of streetscapes, storm sewer regulation requirements, and other service expectations <br />• Work with Metropolitan Council to develop transit expansion in the Roseville area <br />consistent with Council goals. <br />• Addition of a building and grounds technician to meet maintenance and aesthetic <br />expectations of and ever increasing utilization of city facilities <br />Invest in People to Promote Employee Excellence <br />• Invest in training to ensure staff has the tools necessary to be effective and efficient. <br />• Adequate staffing levels to meet expectation of the community and service levels <br />desired <br />• Develop reasonable performance expectations that support job satisfaction and <br />healthy lifestyles away from work <br />• Promote safety from. top down to reduce injury and ensure regulatory compliance <br />Page 4 of 7 <br />
