Opening <br />The planning consultants reviewed the agenda that was distributed prior to the meeting. There were <br />no suggested changes by the Steering Committee (SC) to the proposed agenda. <br />Grefenberg had previously submitted written revisions to the June 26~' SC meeting notes. No <br />additional corrections or changes were suggested by other SC members for the June 26~' SC meeting <br />notes. <br />Two ci#izens were present to provide public input during the open forum portion of the meeting. <br />Dick Lambert, 800 Brenner Avenue resident, described his concerns about the high number of <br />electrical power outages that occur in his neighborhood. He has been monitoring the power outages <br />over recent years and stated that there are have been 4.8 outages per year. Xcel Energy is the <br />electricity provider. He requested that the SC consider whether there is anything that the <br />Comprehensive Plan can do to improve this problem and more generally provide guidance that <br />improves the provision of non-municipal utilities within the community. <br />The consultants responded that the Comp Plan should be able to provide some level of guidance <br />relating to provision ofnon-municipal utilities. <br />Radef distributed paper copies of an email message from another citizen, Kris Williams, 1106 <br />Oakcrest Avenue resident, who has similar concerns regarding electrical power outages. She also has <br />concerns about other non-municipal utilities issues, including tree removal nearXcel electrical <br />transmission lines, BP services, and Qwest services.
