Process <br />The Pathway Advisory Committee's process for the development of this updated document <br />started with the review of the existing Pathway Master Plan to determine i.f the plan continues to <br />reflect Roseville's pathway needs. They also were asked to determine if the existing plan <br />policies and standards remain in keeping with the communit7~'s goals and strategies as defined in <br />the 1R2025 Final Report. City staff s role was to provide support and guidance by setting up <br />meetings, gathering information, answering questions, editing the plan, and otherwise assisting <br />the Commi#tee as needed. Many steps were taken during the update process in the update of this <br />document including the identification, analysis, discussion and recommendation of many light <br />traff c transportation issues and elements. <br />Work Plan <br />We anticipate working through the following outline as a work plan for the update process and <br />expect this to require 4-5 meetings with a completion date of July 2008. <br />1) Background <br />• Review 2003 update version of plan. <br />• Reviewed community issues, demographics, pathway history and current system inventory <br />and operations <br />• Discuss what has been accomplished in last five years <br />~) t~I131}'SIS <br />• Identify areas of plan in. need of update <br />• Discuss Imagine Roseville 2025 goals and strategies <br />• Review guidelines from federal and state agencies <br />• Design Guidance Accommodating Bicycle and Pedestrian Travel: A Recommended <br />Approach (FHWA} This an other light traffic resources are available online at: <br />http://safety.fhwa.dot:govlped_bike/index.htm <br />• Mn/DOT Bikeway Facility Design Manual.
