Recycling Flo#Ilee In 2008, Eureka Recycling's hotline staffhad over 540 conversations with residents about the curbside recycling program anal answered more than 78 calls about multifamily recycling in 1Zoseville. This year even greater nun~.bers of Roseville's residents are familiar with the curbside program and Eureka Recycling as their recycling partner. As in 2007, the addition of milk carton and juice boxes generated some calls and presented opportunities to explain the environmenta] benefits of recycling and how new materials can be added to a recycling program. , ~. Eureka worked with these callers to help them manage their multifamily recycling set-ups, add carts or pick-ups, provide them tivith education material. far their residents, and to work in rn.any other ways to help improve their service. Throughout the year Eureka Recycling mailed specific curbside recycling schedules and sorting information to 74 Roseville residents in response to their questions and calls. The increase from 41 requests in 2007 can be attributed to a significant increase in the number of residents participating in Roseville's recycling program. The number of participants vas up 7%. That is an estimate of over 650 new recyclers in Roseville.
