Private Driveway Work: When your street is <br />reconstructed, certain private construction services <br />will be offered to you by the City's contractor. <br />Private Sprinkler Systems <br />Curbs designated for repair will be marked in late <br />April. Sprinkler systems near curb repairs may be <br />affected. Please notify Baron Behning, Project <br />Coordinator, if you have an underground sprinkler <br />system or invisible fence in the boulevard. The <br />Contractor will not be able to protect these systems <br />if they are unaware of their existence. If these <br />systems are not marked in the field, any necessary <br />repairs will be the responsibility of property owner. <br />Access <br />Contractors are required to keep the roads <br />passable and provide driveway access whenever <br />possible. The construction project will be staged so <br />that residents and emergency vehicles will be able <br />to drive an the streets at all times. If you have <br />special access needs, let us know. <br />Curb and Gutter <br />If there are curb and gutter repairs at your driveway <br />and/or concrete replacement on your driveway is <br />done, there will be a five-day period to harden ar <br />"cure". During that time, you will be able to parkin <br />the street in front of your house. Curbs designated <br />for repair will be marked within the next few weeks. <br />Sanitary Sewer Services <br />The maintenance of your sewer service from the <br />sewer main to the building is your responsibility. If <br />you have a history of back-ups or have to clean <br />your service frequently, it may be to your <br />advantage to get an estimate to replace your <br />service under the street at this time. If you are <br />interested in these services, please complete and <br />return the enclosed form. Please contact Baran <br />Behning if you have questions. <br />These include: <br />• Widening your driveway. <br />• Replacing) changing existing driveway pavement. <br />• Creating a curb cut in areas with drive-over curb. <br />The cost of this work would be funded 100°~ by <br />you. If you are interested in these services, please <br />complete and return the enclosed form. Once we <br />have awarded a contract for this work, we will <br />request that our contractor provide you with an <br />estimate to complete the requested work. We <br />recommend that you contact other driveway <br />contractors to obtain comparison quotes. <br />Mail Delivery & Garbage Pick up <br />The construction work should not impact your mail <br />delivery or garbage pick up. Schedules and times <br />should remain unchanged. <br />Survey Markers <br />In order to perform the project construction, <br />Engineers place a series of survey markers for the <br />Contractor to measure from. Typically these <br />markers are offset several feet from the objector <br />point they refer to so that they are not disturbed <br />during the construction process. As a result, these <br />offset markers are often placed well into resident's <br />yard. Please notify Baron Behning, Project <br />Coordinator, of any stakes that have been moved <br />inadvertently. <br />Utility Flags <br />To protect against underground utility damage, the <br />Contractor will be calling in utility locates. This is <br />required by anyone digging a hole whether it is for <br />planting a tree or removing curb.
