These walls vary <br />from one to three feet tall. <br />Generally, driveways disturbed by construction will be replaced in kind within the public <br />right-of--way. Some existing driveways will be removed or consolidated as necessary to <br />allow for the proposed improvements. Capitol View Avenue, a private road, will be <br />disconnected from Rice Street. A turnaround will be constructed to accommodate large <br />vehicle turning movements. <br />County Road B West <br />County Road B West will be reconstructed 1,000 feet to the east of Rice Street and 900 <br />feet to the west of Rice Street to accommodate horizontal and vertical connections to the <br />existing roadway. The total length of the proposed street reconstruction is approximately <br />1,900 feet. <br />County Road B West is currently a 44-foot wide four-lane urban section roadway with <br />bituminous pavement and concrete curb and gutter. Existing turn lanes along County <br />Road B widen the existing roadway to a maximum width of 62 feet. <br />The proposed improvements include the reconstruction of County Road B West to a four- <br />lane divided urban section with dedicated turn lanes at the Rice Street intersection. The <br />proposed pavement section for the roadway includes 7-inches of bituminous pavement <br />over 7.5-inches of aggregate base. The proposed roadway width will be 65 feet at the <br />Rice Street intersection and will taper back to 44 feet to match the existing roadway. <br />An eight-foot wide bituminous trail is proposed to be constructed along the south side of <br />County Road B West from Rice Street to the existing Cub Foods entrance 1,000 feet east <br />of Rice Street. <br />Two existing retaining walls along three properties on the south side of County Road B <br />West and west of Rice Street will be replaced with wet-cast modular block retaining <br />walls. The walls will be five to seven feet tall. <br />Driveways disturbed by construction will be replaced in kind within the public right-of- <br />way. Access modifications are proposed to be made to Maplewood parcels east of Rice <br />Street on County Road B West <br />Minnesota Avenue <br />Minnesota Avenue will be reconstructed approximately 400 feet west of Rice Street and <br />300 feet east of Rice Street. These distances represent the length of reconstruction <br />necessary to connect to the existing roadway sections. The total length of the proposed <br />street reconstruction is approximately 700 feet. <br />Minnesota Avenue is currently a 34-foot wide two-lane urban section roadway with <br />bituminous pavement and concrete curb and gutter.
