4 <br />Excerpts from the Roseville City Code, Section 1018 <br />Relating to Residential Parking <br /> <br />1018.04: GENERAL PROVISIONS: <br />A. An Automobile Parking Space is defined as a ha rd surfaced and permanently maintained area, <br />either within or outside of a build ing, of sufficient size to store one automobile as specified in this <br />Code. <br /> <br />Space for a <br />single <br />vehicle shall <br />be nine feet <br />by eighteen <br />feet (9' x 18' <br />for 90 degree <br />parking) or <br />larger <br />provided that up to fifty percent (50%) of the required spaces may be not less than eight feet by <br />eighteen feet (8' x 18') when posted "Compact Vehicl es Only". Aisles shall be provided for ingress <br />and egress and shall be a minimum of twenty four feet (24') in width (f or 90 degree parking). <br />(1004.01D)(1007.01F1) <br />B. General Density Requirements, Exceptions And Credits: <br />1. The total minimum lot requirements for structur es housing three (3) or more dwelling units in <br />any R District may be reduced by one hundred (100) square feet per dwelling unit if the property <br />involved is contiguous to a B or an I District. (1004.01B) <br />2. The total minimum lot area requirements for stru ctures housing three (3) or more dwelling units <br />in any R District may be decreased by three hund red (300) square feet for each parking space that <br />is provided under the principal use structure or, in some other manner, underground which allows <br />use of the grade level above such space fo r other parking, yard or recreation space. (1004.01B) <br />C. General Lighting Regulations: Any illumination, whether affixed to a building or otherwise, <br />within a lot in any R District shall not be pe rmitted to beam beyond the lot lines wherein it is <br />located.
