The location and specifications for curb cuts and driveways in accordance with this Section shall <br />be a necessary part of the plot plan for the us e and structure and must be approved prior to the <br />issuance of a building permit. <br />B. Standards For Size Of Parking Space: Space for a single vehicle shall be ni ne feet by eighteen feet <br />(9' x 18') or larger, provided up to fifty percent (50%) of the required spac es may be not less than <br />eight feet by eighteen feet (8' x 18') when posted "Compact Vehicles Only". Aisles for ingress and <br />egress shall be provided and shall be a mini mum of twenty-four feet (24') in width. <br />(1004.01D2)(1005.01D1)(1007.01F1) <br />C. Standards For Driveways And Parking Lots: The following regulations shall apply to all <br />driveways and aisles in parking lots: (703.04B) <br />1. Maximum Width: <br />a. R-1 And R-2 Zones: For single-family and duplex principal structures within the R-1 and R- <br />2 Zones, the maximum width of any driveway at th e property line shall be twenty-six feet (26'). <br />In addition to the maximum width, at each side of the driveway where the driveway intersects <br />the street, three foot (3') flares are permitted. The maximum driveway width for all other uses <br />shall be thirty-six feet (36') and ten-foot (10') flares are permitted. (703.04B1a ) <br />1018.06: LOCATION: <br />A. Accessory off-street parking spaces which are not enclosed may be located in any required yard as <br />specified in the regulations of each zoning district. Enclosed off-str eet parking spaces shall not be <br />permitted in any required yard except the rear yard. An attached enclosed parking space may <br />project three feet (3') into a required front yard as long as there is no living space above it. A <br />detached garage structure in a rear yard must be set back at least five feet (5 ') from any side or rear <br />lot line. (1004.0105a) <br />B. Spaces accessory to one- and two-family dwellings shall be on the same lot as the principal use <br />served. (1004.0105b) <br />
