RHRA_ Housing Redesign Program Application (11-21-06) - Page 2 of 2 <br />review at this time, the DRC recommended that once plans are prepared that they <br />be reviewed by the DRC prior to submission for building permit to ensure that the <br />designs meet the expectations of the program and current city code requirements. <br /> <br />3.2 The homeowners plan to hire an architect to fulfill their renovation plans which consist of <br />adding a second story to include a master bedroom, new bathroom as well as providing <br />an enlarged and improved kitchen, main floor family room, adding a second garage stall <br />and new front entry design. <br /> <br />3.3 The homeowners anticipate the renovation costs for the project to exceed $125,000. <br /> <br />3.4 The homeowners are a young family with a young child which meets the eligibility <br />criteria outlined in the program guidelines. In addition, the home has an assessed value <br />of $217,000 which is below the minimum required assessed valuation for 2006 of <br />$233,200. <br /> <br />4.0 Staff Recommendation <br /> <br />By motion, approve the Housing Redesign Program Application for owners at 1184 Eldridge <br />Avenue in Roseville with the contingency that pr eliminary architectural plans be reviewed by the <br />City Development Review Committee and the HRA staff is provided with the required homeowner <br />and architect signed agreements. <br /> <br /> <br />Prepared by: Cathy Bennett (651-792-7015) <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
