Schedule
We concur with and are prepared to support the schedule outlined in your RFP, as follows:
Brainstorming Sessions held by May 15
Temporary Subcommittee chairs chosen by May 15
* Subcommittee members chosen by May 22
* First Subcommittee meetings noticed and held in June, others at least monthly
Draft of reports done and turned over to Facilitator for final drafting - Oct. 15
e Facilitator finishes draft and reports to Council - Nov. 15
We are prepared to keep additional recommended tasks the City selects within the start and end dates
noted above. As these are detailed, the schedule will be updated and made publicly available via the
City's website and on paper as noted above.
Proposed Budqet
Our proposal addresses the requirements of your RFP, and recommends substantial outreach to yield
more representative engagement and more durable results. Our estimated budget below attempts to
account for an appropriate amount of support for your Visioning initiative, but at the same time
intentionally creates structures that build community capacity and strengthen the City's ability to
maintain this work over time.
Even with those recommended additions, however, we find your budget substantially higher than
necessary. While there are many competing claims for unspent funds, we suggest you consider using
those budgeted resources to increase outreach and input opportunities following this 2006 Visioning
project. These could include having the City host online issues forums, creating new advisory
committees to the Council, and so forth. These are not included in this budget or proposal, but are ideas
the Council may wish to consider over time.
This estimated budget below reflects the proposed tasks, and both are subject to further detailed
discussions with the Council and Steering Committee.
Proposal for Roseviile Community Visioning Support
Carroll.
