Member Millasovich felt that $30,000 was a significant portion of the HRA’s budget and <br />wondered why the HRA was being asked to fund 60% of the cost when the housing issues are <br />only a small portion of the visioning? She wonde red how much say the HRA has in the process. <br /> <br />Member Bean agreed but thought that the process that is proposed is needed and fabulous. She <br />noted though that the $30,000 is a big portion of the funds set aside for rental licensing and this <br />would need to be made up in the future. She wondered if this amount was negotiable. <br /> <br />Chair Majerus noted that the HRA should participat e and assist in funding it. However, he did <br />wonder how the $30,000 got attributed to the HRA a nd would like clarity prior to approving the <br />agreement. Set date for 2006 Housing Tour (HF0037) <br /> <br />Executive Director Bennett noted that the last bus tour the HRA held was in June 2003. The <br />tour was on a Tuesday evening from 5-7:30. The tour included vi siting approximately 50 <br />properties in Roseville and included new developments, redevelopment sites, code <br />compliance homes, renovated homes funded by the HRA and affordable homes provided <br />with public assistance. For a nother tour this year a bus w ould need to be rented that <br />would cost between $300 - $350. Refreshments and snacks would also be served. Ms. <br />Bennett brought forward suggested dates for the bus tour noting that replacing the May. <br /> <br />Member Kelsey suggested that the bus tour become part of the City’s visioning process and that <br />decision on a date should be tabled until the housing subcommittee is established. <br /> <br />Motion: Member Millasovich moved, seconded by Member Bean, to table the 2006 HRA Bus <br />Tour until the Vista/Visioning Steering Committee and Housing Subcommittee are <br />established. <br /> <br />Ayes: 5 <br />Nays: 0 <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />e.
