Demographic Information: Of all those that answered the survey (11 did not answer these
questions.
What is your gender? 42 are Female, 24 are male
Does your spouse/partner live with you? 32 Yes and 29 No.
Age Range - 56-85 Spouse/Partner age range – 54-85
How long have you lived in Roseville? 19 answered less than one year, balance over 10
years.
Why did you choose to move to this development?
Nice project Price of Units Lack of crime Don’t want to live alone
53331110
Close to friendsClose to shops Existing home Wanted to be in
2934141
too expensiveRoseville
Close to Church Pathways/parksWant less house Near medical care
29174011
work
Close to Family
29
Other Comments:
I heard of Greater Metro Housing Program at one of Applewood’s meetings. I contacted
them, they purchased my home.
The fact that this was so close to my previous home made the decision to move easier. I
wanted to own rather than rent.
Love it here.
We had a ½ acre yard and keeping up with lawn care and snow blowing became too much to
handle.
I did not have to move yet, but this project came up just two blocks from where I lived and I
wouldn’t need to have my kids doing house stuff for me.
Felt there would be few opportunities in the future to find ideal developments like this in
Roseville. Having my church involved was a plus.
I have macular degeneration and don’t know how long I’ll be able to drive; I’m looking
ahead.
Just getting too difficult to keep up all the work of house and yard.
RHRA_ applewood senior housing survey results (5-17-05) - Page 3 of 4
