These principles are based upon existing comprehensive plan <br />goals and objectives for the area, as well as the vision of residents and property owners. <br />5.1Maintain a balanced housing stock for all age groups and income levels. <br />Single family, owner multi-family, rental multi-family, senior apartments <br />5.2Provide open space for the use and enjoyment of the neighborhood. <br />Public open space at unused portions for the Armory <br />Open space at McCarrons Lake and Park <br />Enhance protected wetland with a nature trail and inviting gathering spots <br />5.3Provide additional and improved access to the Armory site and better <br />connections to and from the existing neighborhood. <br />Short-term access from Galilee Church parking lot <br />Long-term access from Elmer and McCarrons’ Boulevard via a new pathway or <br />soft walkway along the north side of the Armory site and around the pond on the <br />Guptil site <br />5.4Provide a master plan that is sensitive to the market, achievable and flexible <br />with a mix of land uses and options. <br />DRAFT MARCH 10, 2004 4 <br /> <br />
