Motion: <br />Member Majerus moved, seconded by Member Scheunemann, to direct staff to delay <br />the setting for an eminent domain hearing for the property at 2012 Eldridge for 30 days to be <br />th <br />reviewed by the HRA at the May 18 meeting, anticipating Mr. Wu’s timeline and letter of intent <br />will be completed at that time. <br /> Ayes: 6 <br /> Nays: 0 <br /> Motion carried. <br />8.Information, Reports & Other Business (Verbal Reports by Staff and Board Members): <br />a.Discussion of Development Process for 185 N. McCarrons Blvd as part of the <br />McCarrons Neighborhood Master Plan (HF0008) <br />Executive Director Cathy Bennett summarized the Master Plan process and noted that higher <br />density use and partnership with adjoining property owners is supported by the neighborhood. <br />The Armory has communicated that they are not vacating at this time, but would explore <br />partnerships. The City does receive a first option to purchase as part of state statue requirements <br />for disposing of property. Storm water management recommendations are being prepared by the <br />Watershed District. <br />Dennis Guptil (and Ron VanRipper, Partner, Coldwell Banker) provided background on their <br />plans for the site. Mr. Guptil explained that reconfiguration may change density or height of building. <br />Chair Majerus asked how realistic is the time line? Mr. Guptil indicated that there are many <br />variables at this time, but that he hopes to communicate more frequently on progress. <br />3 <br /> <br />
