<br />REQUEST FOR HRA ACTION <br />DATE: 06/15/04 <br />ITEM NO: 7.a. <br />Staff Approval: Agenda Section: <br />CBPublic Hearing <br />ublic hearing for consideration of the use of eminent domain for <br />Item Description: P <br />property located at 2012 Eldridge Street (HF 0020) <br />1.0Background <br />1.1The HRA adopted Resolution No. 8 at the May 18, 2004 regular meeting setting the <br />public hearing for consideration of the use of eminent domain for property located at <br />2012 Eldridge Street in Roseville. <br />1.2The notice of the public hearing was posted in the local newspaper and a public hearing <br />notice was mailed to property owners within 350 feet of the subject property. <br />1.3The HRA may acquire the site using its statutory authority MN Stat. 469-012 which <br />allows the HRA to use eminent domain to acquire “substandard buildings or <br />improvements”. The history and condition of the property at 2012 Eldridge would meet <br />this definition as summarized in the attached document. <br />2.0Suggested HRA Action. <br />2.1Open the public hearing and take public comment regarding the property at 2012 <br />Eldridge.
