Federal Rent Ceilings: <br />0 BR1 BR2 BR3 BR4 BR <br />Fair Market Rents 578 743 951 1,286 1,457 <br />Eligible uses of Grant Funds: <br />Accessibility modifications to accommodate wheelchairs, walkers, to install handicap accessible <br />doors, lift and/or ramps, and to undertake other related access repairs. <br />The property must be in or brought up to current life-safety standards. <br />Steps for applying for the Access Improvement Program <br />1.Fill out the application providing the HRA with complete information on your property. <br />2.The HRA staff will conduct income verification: <br />a.For rental property, after all pertinent tenant income verification (through survey <br />forms and/or other acceptable format) is received, a determination will be made <br />whether 51% of the tenants meet the income guidelines for the program. In a <br />two unit property 50% of the tenants must meet guidelines. Priority will be given <br />to units in which 100% of the tenants meet low/moderate income guidelines. <br />b.For single family property, income will be verified by using a signed declaration <br />of income verification form. <br />3.Roseville Code Enforcement staff will do an inspection to determine if there are code <br />violations that must be addressed as part of the grant process. <br />4.Roseville Building Inspection staff will provide the HRA with verification that the proposed <br />improvement is a handicap accessible improvement and meets the criteria outlined in this <br />program. <br />5.The applicant must provide at least 2 bids from contractors of his/her choice. The <br />contractor, if low bidder, must provide the HRA staff with verification of licensure to <br />perform work in the City of Roseville. <br />6.Once the work is complete, the applicant shall provide the HRA with proof of payment for <br />work performed – invoices and cancelled checks – as well as signed lien waivers from all <br />contractors and material suppliers to receive reimbursement through the program.
