<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />OF THE VILLAGE OF ROSEVILLE - OCTOBER 14, 1968 <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting <br />of the Village Council of the Village of Roseville, Ramsey County, <br />Minnesota, was duly held in the Village Hall at 2701 North Lexington <br />Avenue, on October 14, 1968, at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: <br />Curley, Grauel, Linebarger and Shields <br /> <br />Mayor Moll, Counci Imen <br /> <br />and the following were absent: None <br /> <br />Member Shields introduced the following resolution <br />and moved its adoption. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4041 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, development of adequate law enforcement is dependent <br />upon the capability of the Roseville Police Department; <br /> <br />AND WHEREAS, the capability of the Roseville Police Department <br />can be improved through more intensive education and <br />training of police officers; <br /> <br />AND WHEREAS, it is impossible to provide for on-the-job training <br />opportunities sufficient to meet theneeds of the <br />Roseville Police Department; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of <br />Roseville that an educational incentive program be <br />established for the Roseville Police Department. <br />That said program shall be as follows: <br /> <br />I. The Village will reimburse 60% of the expense incurred by <br />any employee for tuition, fees and books required for job <br />related courses provided that: <br /> <br />A. The course is not part of a departmental in-service <br />training program. Departmental in-service training will <br />be at total municipal expense and the employee will be <br />compensated for the time involved. <br /> <br />B. The course has been approved by the Village Manager prior <br />to registration. <br />
