GRASS LAKE WATER MANAGEMENT ORGANIZATION <br />Minutes of Meeting <br />October 16, 2008 <br />Roll Call: <br />Members Present: Karen Eckman <br />Tracy Mogg <br />James Stark <br />Board Members Len Ferrington and Doug Root were absent. <br />Others Present: Mark Maloney - SV <br />Duane Schwartz - RV <br />Cliff Aichinger-Ramsey/Washington <br />Metro Watershed District <br />Terry Noonan, Ramsey County Public Works <br />Deanne Allen -Recorder <br />Barr Engineering: Scott Sobiech, Civil Engineer <br />The meeting was called to order at 5:03 p.m. <br />A. Organizational Items <br />A-1 Approval of Minutes for July 24, 2008 <br />The following corrections were made: <br />• References on pages 1 and 2 to Tom Petersen should show his name spelled with <br />"en" at the end, and that he is with the Ramsey Conservation District; Geoffrey <br />Nash, NATURE Specialist reported on the Ramsey County Groundwater Plan <br />• Page 4: The fifth paragraph should read, "...Ramsey County has more <br />groundwater use than recharge within the county system." <br />• Page 5: Second paragraph, third sentence should state that regional water services <br />in the county are interested in providing water to other communities. <br />• Page 5: Second paragraph, fifth sentence should say "...water would be available <br />to Minneapolis in an emergency...". <br />• Page 5: Fourth paragraph numbers referring to peak use should be million <br />gallons, not thousand: 50,000,000; 55,000,000; 40,000,000; and 45,000,000. <br />• Page 5: Last paragraph, second sentence should be changed to read, "..., but the <br />readings were as expected...". <br />Eckman moved to approve the minutes of the July 24, 2008 meeting as corrected above. <br />Mogg seconded. Ayes - 3 Nays - 0. <br />
