• <br />Local Human Rights Commission Project <br />Grant Agreement <br />Description of Event: This grant will assist in providing resources for the Roseville <br />Human Rights Commission (RHRC) to develop a re-usable framework for future city <br />efforts to encourage the civic engagement of its residents. This framework will engender: <br />• A process to assess city government activities, programs, and services for <br />accessibility, clarity, and responsiveness to a diverse population. [Adopted by RHRC <br />os-11-2009] <br />• Programs and recommendations for the Council intended to encourage and assist <br />in the development of neighborhood groups, forums, and networks that will <br />provide residents with a sense of belonging and engagement. [Adopted RHRC 08-11- <br />2009] <br />The above two objectives were adopted by the RHRC in response to the City Council's <br />recent charge to the Commission to help build strong neighborhoods and to foster <br />greater appreciation, respect, and understanding of the diversity of our community. <br />[Roseville City Council Minutes of Apri128, 2009, Meeting] <br />Upon completion, the RHRC will present the framework to the Roseville City Council <br />for its review and consideration. <br />• Date event will take lace: The framework w' <br />p ill be completed and presented to the Crty <br />Council within approximately one year. <br />Location of Event: The activities to develop the framework will occur primarily within <br />the City of Roseville. The resulting framework will be presented to the City Council for <br />their consideration during a City Council meeting at Roseville City Hall. <br />Contract information for vendor(s) providing services: A RHRC planning committee <br />has recently been formed to develop a work plan for this project.
