Human Rights Subcommittee Meeting <br />March 4, 2010 <br />1. Formal recommendation for standing rules for HRC meetings; make motion for <br />approval. <br />2. Consideration of how we should establish neighborhood sections <br />a. Police department neighborhood identification <br />b. Parks and Rec neighborhood meeting divisions <br />2. Regional Human Rights meeting -plan to meet with Mario on Tuesday at 5:30 to <br />discuss possibilities <br />3. Public Relations - in discussion stages <br />a. Roseville Review welcomes us to start a monthly human rights column <br />b. Request for one consistent name for the byline rather than using the <br />committee name for the byline. <br />c. Photos welcome <br />• d. Explore funding possibilities for internship for a quarterly publication and <br />expand eventually to monthly; write a formal proposal for the position <br />e. Begin with astart-up grant and transition to permanent funding <br />f. Revenue generating -Can the Human Rights Commission generate its <br />own revenue? Possible ideas? <br />g. Presentation of HRC column and/or internship to City Council. Do we <br />need approval? <br /> <br />
