PART VII. DISCUSSION OF KING C TE
1. This project is not identified in a WMO plan since the product has never been
used in Minnesota as far as the sponsors know.
2. The City of Roseville has successfully administered grants from the Met Council
before, most notably the Macarron Lake storm water pond project that the Met
Council has studied extensively.
3. The work plan is simple... test the product and develop a report on the
adoptability of the product to Minnesota conditions. In the project's simplicity
_ lies its strength.
4. The budget seems realistic due to the unproven nature of the product. The
product is designed to be re-used three times but careful use should prolong the
product life.
5. If the project verifies that the product is suited for use in Minnesota, it is likely
that many LGUs would specify its use, especially in Land development scenarios in
environmentally sensitive areas.
6. The willingness of the City of Roseville to participate in the testing a new erosion
control product and its past involvement in the Macarron Lake project
demonstrates the City's long-term commitment to non-point source pollution
education.
