The test results are very positive, but it hasn't been tested in <br />a climate like ours. It may only be a product for three season use, but <br />only actual test data will give us an idea of this type of product's use in <br />Minnesota. If it proves to be a useful product that is easy to use, it <br />could help reduce siltation of our surface waters from a phase of <br />development that typically has been very problematic. It also may <br />have some value for continuous use in highly sensitive watersheds, in <br />retro-fitting applications or where there is no practical location for <br />installing a sediment basin prior to discharge to a lake or stream. I <br />understand that one state highway department is using the' product on <br />a continuous basis in a stretch of highway that affects a high. quality <br />surface water.
