Mears Park Centre, 230 East Fifth Street St. Paul, IvAt 551 Ol Dear Mr. Frost: ~oo2i o02 A. little over two years ago Roseville Area School Distract 623 deterttiined that a 77.5 acre site that the District had held for over twcmty years for the development of a high school was no longer needed. The District began a long and complex process to market the property to provide the best possible financial return to the District. After exploring a number of alternative approaches the District determined that the highest return would result from developing and ceiling improved single family and town home lots. We anticipate that construction of the infrastructure for the development of these lots will begin during late spring and last until mid-summer of this year. The construction of izzdividual homes will occur over the next two years. The project should be completed by the spzing of 1998. The project is designed to avoid the four wetland basins on site and the District is sensitive to minimizing any construction impacts on these systems. The District would be pleased to work with the City of Roseville to include this experimental sediment control device in their project. If the grant is approved, the District will direct their consultants to include this device in the plans and specifications for the development of the project as a supplement to the normal sediment control measures. The District will also work with the City to coordinate the maintenance with the City's inspectiozas and documeritation of the devices effectiveness.
