Center and the north end of Reiland Lane. An underpass will be constructed to allow for <br />safe crossing of pedestrian and bicycle traffic across Highway 96. The I-694 pedestrian <br />bridge includes the construction of a pedestrian bridge over I-694 from Ramsey County <br />Grass Lake Open Space to County Road E/Soo Street. Staff has submitted the Project <br />Memorandums as required by the USDOT prior to start of preparation of plans and <br />specifications. These documents are currently being reviewed by MnDOT. <br />Snail Lake Park <br />The Shoreview City Council approved plans for the construction of a beach shelter and <br />two picnic shelters at the July 5, 1995, Council meeting. This work is part of Ramsey <br />County's overall plans to upgrade Snail Lake Park and follows the construction of <br />parking lots, boat ramp, and a new beach done in the fall of 1994 and this past spring. <br />6. Rainbow Foods <br />Ryan Construction is currently working on the Rainbow Foods store located at the <br />northwest corner of the intersection of Highways 49 and 96. Utility work and the <br />exterior of the building is complete with the parking lot, landscaping, and building <br />interior work remaining. It is planned that the store will open this October. <br />7. Deluxe CorQoration <br />Deluxe Corporation has started construction of a 158,000 s.f. office building located at <br />Victoria Street and County Road E. Exterior work on the building is complete and utility <br />work is on-going. <br />8. Highway 96 <br />Highway 96 changed jurisdiction from the State of Minnesota to Ramsey County this <br />past January. Ramsey County has formed a task force with representatives from cities, <br />businesses, and residents to discuss design issues associated with the planned <br />reconstruction of 1997-1998. <br />
