Keel Item: A-2 <br />Organizational Items <br />Item Description: Staff reports on pending matters <br />New developments/projects within Roseville affecting the GLWMO: <br />a. <br />School district redevelopment at Owasso/Western/Dale <br />Construction is proceeding quickly and site grading is nearly complete. The grading <br />phase of the project includes the removal of contaminated soil and debris. The <br />School District has reached an agreement with. the City of Roseville to use tax <br />increment dollars to help fund soil cleanup. A contract has been let for street and <br />utility construction which is expected to begin shortly. <br />The School District plans have incorporated all of the suggestions made by the <br />GLWMO Board. earlier this year. In addition, the City of Roseville has received a <br />grant through the Metropolitan Council to install silt sacks in the catch basins within <br />the School District development. These devices will help remove sediment prior to <br />discharging stormwater to adjoining wetlands. This project will be evaluated to <br />determine the usefulness if these devices and their potential application for other <br />projects. <br />County Road C pathway <br />A contract has been awarded by the City of Roseville to Central Landscaping, Inc. for <br />the construction of a pathway along the south side of County Road C from Cleveland <br />Avenue to Rice Street. A portion of this pathway is within the GLWMO boundaries. <br />Construction has begun and is expected to be completed by early November, 1995. <br />The construction plans and specifications contain provisions for erosion control <br />during construction. <br />d. Central Park Elementary School expansion <br />The Roseville School District is currently constructing a new gymnasium on the north <br />side of the Central Park Elementary School located on County Road. B-2 just east of <br />Dale Street. The rear of the site has been regraded to accommodate the construction <br />of two small ball fields. Erosion control devices has been placed and maintained by <br />the contractor. <br />
