e. Roseville Area High School expansion
As part of the Roseville School District's recent bond issue, a number of
improvements are being made to the Roseville Area High School located on County
Road B-2 between Lexington Avenue and Hamline Avenue. The high school
construction includes a number of additions and changes to the parking lot including
the installation of additional storm sewer. The proposed improvements allow very
little space for storm ponding on site.
Following an analysis of adjoining stormwater capacity in Willow Pond north of
County Road B-2, it has been determined that for flood storage purposes, no
additional ponding is necessary on the school district site. However, the school
district is being required to install some sort of stormwater treatment to remove, at a
minimum, the heavy solids typically associated with commercial parking lots. Such
treatment will likely take place in the form of grit chambers or small sedimentation
ponds adjacent to County Road B-2. The proposed improvements are in keeping with
the adopted GLWMO plan.
2. New developments/projects within Shoreview affecting GLWMO
a. Attached is a memo from Dave Ahrens describing the new developments and projects
that affect GLWMO.
