There is a general and temporary
condition of flooding in the area,
.the flooding is the praxtmate cause
of the sewer backup, or seepage of
water, and _
2. The sewer backup, or seepage of
. water occurs no later than 72
hours after the flood has receded;
and -
3. The building must be insured at
.the time of loss, for at least 8096 of
its replacement cost or the max-
imum amount of insurance avail-
able under the National Flood
Insurance Program.
For everything you have always wanted to
know about ground water sampling, get a copy
of the new "Minnesota Pollution Control Agency
Ground Water Sampling Guidance Manual".
This 250-page manual is a comprehensive
resource for scientists and technicians who
need to develop or evaluate ground water
sampling Plans. protocols and reports.
The manual contains many convenient
features that make it easy and effective to use.
Some of the features include the following:
laminated covers and wire-loop binding for
durability ; a detailed index; detailed tables of
contents for each chapter, cross-references for
additional information throughout the manual;
photo-copy masters of forms for recording field
data; and a computer diskette with a detailed.
ready-to-edit sampling protocol, templates for
ground water analysis and a field work check
list (documents are saved in several widely
accepted computer formats).
Even though the focus of this new manual
is on sampling wells at contaminated sites, it
also provides detailed guidance for sampling
water supply wells. This new document
replaces a 1986 document entitled, "Procedures
for Ground Water Monitoring: "Minnesota
Pollution Control Agency Guidelines."
To order a copy of the new "Minnesota
Pollution Control Agency Ground Water
Sampling Guidance Manual", enclose a $19.75
check made payable to the MPCA, and mail it
to: MPGA Ground Water Sampling Guidance
Document, c/o Sandy Karowski.
