Maloney, Shoreview Public Works Director <br />Project/Activity Update <br />Summary of Shoreview activity within the Grass Lake Watar Management Organization: <br />'Victoria Street Reconstructioxl <br />Shoreview City Council received the feasibility report on January 16,1996. The project involves <br />improving Victoria Street from County Road F to Lexington, constructing a 8' multi-use trail, and <br />upgrading portions of the existing water and sanitary utilities. The design of the storm sewer is not <br />complete but the conceptual plan includes: <br />• Filling the existing drainage ditch and regrading the adjacent. properties to drain toward the roadway. <br />• Expanding the existing pipe systems <br />• Adding catch basins to cot]act excess runoff: <br />• CJtilizing existing sedimentation ponds and wetlands to pre-treat storm water nmoff prior to discharge <br />into Snail Lake. <br />• Refining the design to incorporate the Goals and Policies of Shorev]ew's Surface Water Management <br />Plan. <br />Twat City Christian IrTom~ <br />The 4,1 acre property is located an the south side of County Road 96 near the intersection of Hodgson <br />Road. The development is a three story 108-unit senior citiien apartment building with associated parking <br />and landscaping, The plea does include an on-site sedimentation pond topre-treat and temporarily store <br />storm water runoff. The Development Agreemeat and Erosion Control Agreement has been approved by <br />the Shoreview City Council. Construction is tentatively planned to begin in February. <br />A letter formally requesting eonsmrction of the trail be postponed until l 997 is being sent 4e Met Council. <br />The delay will allow the trail and underpass to be constructed in conjunction with County Road 9b. <br />
